Thank you for filling in some gaps in my intrapersonal book knowledge that always puzzled me a bit. Truth can only be hidden for so long as long as some of us keep digging to uncover so we can discover its essence.
Thank you for this wonderful article. It reminds me of another article that I read while studying some of the research of Dr. Asa Hilliard. In his book entitled,"The Maroon WithinUs,' he references the extraterrestrial character, E.T. They refered to him as,"sick," when he was separated from his original cultural group. This analogy can be used to understand some of the behaviors of African Americans in their present situations. The obvious solution is that African Americans must recognize their miseducation, re-educate themselves and return to their cultural identity for true health purposes.
Thank you for this article! My late professor and mentor Dr. Yaw Ackah, who was an Ashanti from Ghana and was the first to ever encourage me to go to graduate school, introduced me to Afrocentricity via Molefi Asante, but I didn’t know that the term was originated by Du Bois.
My education on Du Bois stops at The Souls of Black Folks and then I just knew that he left to go to Ghana and was buried in Ghana. I don’t know anything else in between. I’m certainly purchasing Dr. Ade’s book. I also remember watching a documentary on Clotilda but I don’t remember the name of it.
Thanks for the great article on DuBois. His academic career and political transformation are instructive for all of us. It is especially relevant for us today as our people are being confronted by a social media cointelpro pyshops operation from FBA/ADOS and other identity confused agents of chaos. Do you know where I can access the report that DuBois coined the term afrocentric?

This post/article was eye-opening and insightful! I will definitely be purchasing Dr. Ade's book! Thanks for your insight and intellect.
Thank you! Is there a virtual option available for "A Blueprint for Black Professionals"?
It's in person only, but we did a podcast together which I think you will enjoy:
